Inventory
Item stats
Select an item in your inventory and a stats panel appears on screen. It works on the items lying on the ground, in your uniform, vest and backpack, and on everything you have equipped: weapon, attachments, magazines, launcher, pistol, uniform, vest, backpack, helmet, goggles, night vision, binoculars, map, GPS, radio, compass and watch.
By default a single click on an item shows its stats, and a double-click hides them again. You can switch this so a double-click toggles the stats instead. The panel also closes when you close the inventory.
What the panel tells you depends on the item:
- Every item shows its item code, its mass and any description its maker gave it, even for items with no special layout below (night vision, GPS, tools, modded gear). Mass can be shown in the game's own units, or as an estimated weight in kilograms or pounds.
- Rifles, machine guns, sniper rifles, shotguns, submachine guns and pistols show barrel length (when the weapon has one), the ammo it starts with, how easy it is to handle out of 10, and its muzzle velocity setting where the weapon defines one.
- Launchers show how hard the missile or rocket hits directly, how well it punches through armor, its blast damage and blast radius, and its top speed. Lock-on launchers also show how long they take to lock.
- Helmets and vests show how much protection they give to each part of the body and how much of a hit still gets through. Vests also show how much they can carry.
- Uniforms show protection per body part and carrying capacity.
- Backpacks show carrying capacity.
- Suppressors and muzzle devices show how much they cut muzzle flash and sound, and how they change damage, bullet speed, spread and recoil.
- Sights and scopes show every magnification they offer.
- Ammunition shows damage, armor penetration, muzzle velocity and, where the data exists, muzzle energy.
- Grenades, rockets and shells show direct damage, penetration, blast damage, blast radius and top speed.
Some values are only shown when the item actually has that information. If a line is missing, the item does not provide it.
Item restriction
Some items cannot be worn together, for example night vision goggles under a cap or hat. When you equip a conflicting item, the one it clashes with is taken off and put in your inventory, or on the ground if there is no room.

The exact options are listed in docs/settings_users.md under TF999 Item Info and TF999 Item Restriction. This addon has no keybinds of its own for the stats panel.
