Immersion Ranks

Rank insignia shown on the nametag above soldiers, with insignia sets for more than 20 armies and services.

Insignia

• Every unit can carry a rank icon. The nametag shows the icon and the rank name.
• Insignia sets include Egypt (army, air force, navy and police), Russia, the US Army and Marines, the UK Army and Royal Marines, France, Spain, Japan, and Dutch, Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish, Slovenian and Ukrainian forces, plus fictional sets (UNSC, Grand Army of the Republic, Helldivers, Warhammer).
• Rank names can be read in English or Arabic, where an Arabic name exists.
• Civilians do not show a rank.

Setting ranks

• Zeus: an "Enhanced Rank" module sets a unit's faction and rank icon.
• Eden editor: the unit's attributes have "Insignia Faction" and "Insignia Icon" pickers.
• Players: ranks can be tied to Steam IDs, either from the mission configuration or from a list in the addon options, so a player always gets their assigned rank when they spawn.

Settings

You can change the size of the rank icon, the language of the rank names you see, the default rank for players and the Steam ID lists. See settings_users.md. This addon has no keybinds.
