Effects: Hits and Deaths
Makes getting shot and dying look and sound much more violent and varied. Soldiers flinch, stagger and fall in many different ways, scream, bleed and, from heavy weapons, lose limbs.
Death animations
- Soldiers die with a wide range of falls depending on where they were hit and what hit them: head shots, neck shots, body shots from the front or behind, leg shots, sprinting and running deaths, crouching and prone deaths.
- Heavy calibers and explosions throw the body around with their own dramatic death animations.
- Very powerful hits can tear off limbs, or vaporize the soldier completely. The damage needed for each is adjustable.
- Deaths next to walls and other solid objects are checked, so bodies are less likely to fall through them.
- Unconscious soldiers (ACE medical) also get proper collapse and recovery animations, and bodies settle after ragdolling more naturally.
- A burned body appears for soldiers killed by fire.
Hit reactions
- Wounded soldiers react with hit animations and a short flinch, for both AI and players. You can set separately for AI and players whether it happens and how often.
Death screams
- Soldiers cry out when hit, scream when killed and make death rattles afterwards, depending on where they were hit. They can also scream when they are knocked unconscious rather than killed.
Blood
- Blood pools spread under the dead, with a small spreading animation, and smaller pools for head shots.
- Blood splatters onto nearby walls.
- Head shots throw blood and meat chunks.
- Bullet impacts on soldiers have improved blood spray.
