Environment Weather
Lets a Zeus (or a mission maker in the editor) set off weather and natural-disaster effects on demand: fog, storms, extreme weather and space events. Nothing happens by itself. Every effect starts when a module is placed.
Zeus finds the modules in the module list under TF999 Weather. Many modules work as a switch: placing the same module a second time while it is running turns the effect off again (the Zeus gets a short on-screen message either way).
Fog
- Low Fog – a lasting layer of low fog around the spot you place it. You pick the fog colour.
- Player Fog – fog effect around all players. Place it again to stop.
- Mountain Fog (Ring) – a ring of fog around the placed spot, good for a mountain top.
- Dust Suspension – dust hanging in the air at the placed spot.
Storms
- Thunder Storm – a thunder storm at the placed spot. Place again to stop.
- Snowfall – gentle snow across the whole map. Place again to stop.
- Snow Storm – a heavy snow storm across the map that you can tune: how often ambient sounds and snow bursts come, breath vapour, fog waves, strong wind, whether snow falls indoors, objects shoved around by the wind, and soldiers sneezing and shivering.
- Dust Storm – a dust storm across the map. You can choose the visibility, whether a wall of dust rolls in, whether that wall is deadly, and whether the wind pushes objects around.
- Monsoon – a monsoon with flying debris, rain fog and drops around players, and optional thunder and lightning with a delay you choose.
- Lightning Storm – random lightning strikes inside a radius (250 m to 2 km) around the module. You choose how often they come. Each strike flashes, cracks and damages what it hits.
- Lightning Storm Ender – stops a running Lightning Storm.
Extreme weather and events
- Tornado – a tornado at the placed spot. Place again to stop it.
- Volcano – a volcano at the placed spot; put it on a hill or mountain. You can set the delay between eruptions, add lava glow inside the crater, lightning in the smoke and an experimental lava flow, and decide whether anyone too close to the crater is killed.
- Rock Slide – boulders tumble from the placed spot. You choose how many, how fast, how bouncy and which compass direction they go.
- Meteor and Meteor (Small) – a large or small meteor comes down at the placed spot.
- Meteor Storm – a repeating rain of meteors landing near random players, with a random extra delay you choose.
- Falling Stars – repeating shooting stars near random players, with a random extra delay you choose.
- Dust Devil – small whirlwinds of dust that keep appearing near random players. Place again to stop.
- Wind Gust – repeating gusts of wind near random players. Place again to stop.
