LAMBS Danger
Makes AI soldiers react to danger like people instead of standing in the open. Enemy and friendly groups take cover, hide from vehicles and aircraft, flank and suppress, and can assault buildings on their own. This is the core behaviour part of LAMBS Danger.
Smarter group tactics
- AI groups assess the situation and pick a tactic: attack, assault, flank, suppress, hold, hide, garrison a building, clear rooms in close quarters, or reinforce a fighting group.
- Soldiers who cannot hurt tanks or aircraft hide from them instead of standing in the open.
- Groups can use smoke to cover a move, fire flares at night when they have no night vision, deploy backpack weapons and man empty static weapons.
- Units dodge, react to being hit, panic, flee, check bodies and react to explosions and bullets passing close.
- A group leader can plan manoeuvres such as flanking or suppressing a building.
Ordering your AI teammates
Four quick commands for AI in your own squad (none are bound by default):
- Toggle Player Group AI turns the advanced behaviour on or off for your squad.
- Suppressive fire makes friendly AI within about 20 m fire at the target you are looking at, or the nearest enemy.
- Assault sends AI within about 50 m at the buildings you are looking at.
- Hiding sends AI within about 50 m to seek cover.
For mission makers and Zeus
- In the editor, units and groups have options to disable the advanced AI, mark a unit as carrying a long-range radio, and enable dynamic reinforcement for a group.
- Zeus gets modules and right-click menu entries for the same things: enable or disable AI on a unit or group, give or remove a radio, and turn reinforcement on or off.
Settings and keybinds
Options are under Addon Options in the LAMBS Danger sections: which behaviours to switch off (group manoeuvres, hiding, static weapons, smoke, flares, player-group reactions), how close counts as close quarters, and panic chance. Keys are under Controls → Configure Addons in the LAMBS Danger category. These options are not covered in the settings and keybinds guides in docs/ (see settings_users.md and keybinds_users.md for the rest of the pack).
